Light at the End

I always get excited on long road trips when, after hours in the car, I can finally see the black and white checked destination flag on the screen of the GPS. I mean without cheating and looking ahead, of course. Today is like that for me. Finally, after six months, I can look at the calendar, without flipping ahead, and see the Man's arrival date. Sure, he may not actually arrive on that date (though I've started a countdown on skype, I'm more than aware of the fact that this is the military and they get him home when it's convenient for them and not necessarily when they say they will the first time around), but it's fun to have a date to look forward to.
